Dhanbad Public School organised a grand Annual Function on 19 december 2008.

The TWO - DAY annual programme of Dhanbad Public School (DPS) began with great pomp and splendour on thursday .The annual sports meet at the school playground was inaugrated by the chief guest T.Kumar.the director of Indian School Of Mines University(ISMU) .Dr.A.k.Singh and Hari Narayan Agarwal were guests of honour at the event
The school principal D.A. Cheta presented the annual progrees report of the school.She mentioned the achievements of the students of the school.
The fourteenth batch of class X and the eleventh batch of class XII of 2007-08 had passed successfully with 100% result this year.
Anuja Beotra of class XII in the Arts stream wa sthe Jharkhand topper with 89% marks.
The Union ministry Of Human Resource development has nominated 10 students of the school for a scholarship.
Mrs. D. A. Chetal also focused on the outstanding performance of school students in sports,cultural and academic activities in the district, sate and national level competitions.

On the Occassion the students presented a welcome dance, fan-drill , sun and star drill and many other cultural programmes.
